The part she will actually notice
It is not the price, and it is not whether the thing is physical. It is whether the gift could have gone to anybody. A speaker could have gone to anybody. A letter listing six things only you would know could not.
So before you pick anything, try to answer one question: what has she said out loud in the last year that she has probably forgotten saying? Whatever that is, it is the gift. The rest of this page is just formats for delivering it.
Nine digital gifts for a girlfriend

- 01
The thing she mentioned in March
Every couple has this: a book, a course, a game, an app she said she wanted once and then dropped. Buying it eight months later is not about the money. It is proof that you were listening when she was not performing.
- 02
A shared album you filled first
Most shared albums arrive empty, which turns a gift into homework. Put sixty photos in it before you send the invite, in the order the year happened, and caption five of them.
- 03
A letter at its own link
One message on a private page, at a link that does not expire. The trick is specificity: six concrete things instead of one general thing. Not "you are amazing" but "you laugh with a hiccup when something catches you off guard." It costs the least and takes the longest, which is usually the right ratio. This is the one we make.

A playlist you actually sequenced
Twelve songs in an order that means something, each with one line about why it is there. The writing is the gift; the music is just what carries it.
- 05
A year of the app she pays monthly for
Unromantic and genuinely useful. Look at what is already on her card and buy the annual plan, which is almost always cheaper. Nothing to learn, nothing to cancel.
- 06
A page for your song and your photos
If there is a song that belongs to the two of you, it can have a page: up to five photos with captions, the day you started counting live, the song playing underneath, and a QR code you can print and put in a frame. We make this one too.

A course on the thing she keeps bringing up
Someone who has said "I want to learn to shoot film" four times this year is telling you exactly what to buy. Send the login with a note about why you think she would be good at it.
- 08
A commissioned drawing of a photo you both love
An illustrator turns one of your photos into a drawing, delivered as a file. Costs less than dinner and does not look like anything else she owns. Order two weeks out, not two days.
- 09
A donation to the thing she actually cares about
Works only when you can be specific. The shelter she follows, the research fund for something that runs in her family. Send the receipt with one sentence saying why that one.
Seven of those nine are somebody else's product, which is on purpose. The two we build are the letter at its own link and the page for your song, and they are the two where the writing is the product.
If the two of you are far apart
Distance is where digital stops being the compromise and starts being the better option. Nothing gets lost in transit, nothing arrives three days late, and the time zone is the only thing you have to think about.
- Schedule it for her morning, not yours. Work out the hour she will have the page to herself.
- Be on a call when she opens it, even muted. The reaction is half of what you made it for.
- Send one thing, not five. A single letter she rereads beats a folder she scrolls once.
There is a longer guide on keeping a long distance relationship going, if that is the situation.
Common questions
Is a digital gift for a girlfriend a cop-out?
A gift card is. A digital gift you spent an hour thinking about is not. What people react to is evidence of attention, and attention reads the same in a browser tab as it does in a box. The ones that fail are the ones bought in four minutes with nothing written.
What is a good digital gift under five dollars?
A letter at its own link, a page for your song, an ebook she mentioned, or a wishlisted indie game during a seasonal sale. All four land under five dollars, and none of them read as cheap, because the price was never the part she was going to notice.
We are long distance. What works best?
Anything that arrives on time across a time zone, which is the whole advantage of the format. Schedule it for her morning rather than yours, and send it when she will have twenty quiet minutes instead of at midnight on the date itself. A letter and a shared album both survive distance better than anything that needs shipping.
How do I wrap something that has no weight?
Give it a surface. Print the QR code and put it inside a card, write the link by hand on the back of a photo, or hide it in a small box with nothing else in it. The object is the doorway and the page is the gift.
How long before the date should I start?
A letter can be written and sent in fifteen minutes from a phone, so last minute is survivable. Everything involving another person, like a commissioned drawing, needs two weeks. If you are genuinely out of time, write fewer things and be more specific about each one. Vagueness is what reads as rushed, not length.
